We regret to inform you that Jackson County’s 2009 Summer Bash has been cancelled. If you purchased a ticket for Jackson County 2009 Summer Bash, volunteers are processing your refund. If you purchased a ticket with a Credit or Debit card, your account will be credited. Purchases made with cash or check will be refunded in the form of a check. If you would like your refund in person, representatives will be at the Summer Bash office on Saturday, July 4, between 10:00 a.m. and 6 p.m., to assist you. The Summer Bash office is located on Court Street in the Carson’s Corner offices across the street from the Court House.

In a time when our community and nation struggles with a failing economy, Summer Bash ticket sales dropped dramatically. On Monday, June 29, only 1,175 tickets had been sold for the event. Please understand that every option to proceed with the drawing was considered and the decision to cancel was not made without examining every possible alternative.

The purpose of Summer Bash is to raise funds for the youth of our community. Some supporters have generously offered to donate the price of their ticket back to the Boosters. If you would like to offer the same support, please let us know. The Athletic Boosters is a non-profit organization and your donation would be considered as a charitable gift and we will provide a receipt for tax purposes.

Every effort is being made to contact ticket holders in a timely manner. In the unfortunate event that this letter does not reach you prior to July 4th, please accept our apologies.

This is a difficult time for the volunteers involved in the decision-making process and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
